Barretta played her fifth and final match on TV against Belgium’s Kamiisha Khodjaeva, a teenaged sharpshooter. Barretta thought she had to win the match in order to qualify, and proceeded to play a horrible match on live TV.
“Just not used to the pressure of the big lights, camera, and crowd” said Barretta afterwards.
Upon losing the match however, she was informed that she had the necessary number of game wins above the match wins to qualify. Her whole world was turned upside down and back back to heaven in a matter of seconds.
Former World 10-Ball Champion Amit took a loss in her group which gave her a lower seeding into the elimination stage of the Worlds. She has a long trek to the finals which will include facing USA’s lone warrior in Barretta.
They face each other 12:00pm in a USA vs Philippines battle. Live on www.insidepool.tv
