World Cup of Pool: A June Centrepiece

Mid-June means one thing to pool fans the world over - the 2017 World Cup of Pool.  The contest will take place at York Hall in London from June 13 to June 18, and it is shaping up to be a powerhouse of an event. The schedule has been announced, and it is expected that competition will be of the highest level, as the best players in the world - 32 two-man teams – vie for the top prize of $60,000, part of an overall prize fund of $250,000.
This year – the 11th for the competition – will see the Chinese Taipei team trying to be the first side to successfully defend the championship, having won in 2016 in grand style. It has been announced that 12BET are the sponsors of this year’s World Cup of Pool, which will be produced by Matchroom Sport Television and broadcast live on stations around the world. A spokesman for 12BET says, “We are pleased to be sponsoring the 12BET World Cup of Pool, giving us a perfect opportunity to connect with cue sports fans around the globe.”
