Van Boening gets another victory

Rapid City native Shane Van Boening has emerged from the battles of the one-loss side to claim the win at the Seminole Pro Tour Stop in Rhode Island. Van Boening defeated Darren Appleton 11-6 in the finals after taking down Rodney Morris 9-7 to earn his berth there.

Van Boening had to take the long road most of the way home. He was beaten in the second round by Alex Pagulayan 9-5 and then had to get through Adam Smith, Robert Lewis, Bucky Souvanthon, Larry Nevel, Shawn Putnam, John Morra, Brandon Shuff and Johnny Archer.
Van Boening took home $10,000 for his efforts.
