Top Players Fall at the 404 Tour

There were a series of surprises at Shooters Billiards in Toronto on the 404 Tour on November 30th.  The list of first round casualties included John Morra, Rob Hall, Al Logan and Erik Hjorleifson.  In the top half of the bracket, Jeremy Isard from Burlington had wins over Vincente, Chris Capipin, Chris Bateman, Marius Nakas and Laurent.   In the lower bracket, "young gun" Peter Hetherington shot his way through the field taking out Alex Marsilii, Teen Yan, Peter Linkletter, Alan Ada and Adrian Fragoso.

Peter Hetherington faced Jeremy Isard in the A-side finals.  Experience prevailed as Hetherington secured his spot in the finals with a 6-5 win over Isard.  Jeremy settled for 3rd place as Erik Hjorleifson sent him home from the b-side.  Despite losing his first round to Oliver Johnson, Hjorleifson played strong to overcome the handicapped format winning 10 consecutive matches.  Erik also won the final match of the tournament 11-3 over Peter.
