Congratulations to the Lion Alex Pagulayan & Brittany Bryant for winning the 32nd Annual Music City Open 9-Ball Championships Men's & Women's Divisions! A second gratz to Alex as he also won the Midnight Madness $500 entry winner take all event!
The main event kicked off Thursday night, we had 119 Players in this 9-ball race to 11 with winner break extravaganza. The event was held at JOB Billiards in Madison, TN.
The main event Finals began with an undefeated John Gabriel vs The Lion, Alex ended up winning the first set 11-7. Next up was the final set to determine the title winner. It was back and forth a bit with Alex prevailing in the end to capture the title. Fantastic 2nd place finish for John Gabriel, played incredible all week plus gave us some great commentary as well. James Baraks earned a tough fought 3rd place, seemed very determined and focused and played amazingly. Fourth placed was claimed by Mike Gann with some great shooting!
Congratulation are in order to Brittany Bryant for winning the Ladies Division at the Music City Open! The event drew 49 Women competing for the title. Excellent 2nd place finish for Julie Cone. Earning a tough fought third was Marinne Merrill and Fourth was claimed by Lisa Cossette. Fifth/Sixth place winners are April Dobbins and Kim Dodd. The Midnight Madness tournament began Saturday night with 8 players and a $500 entry winner take all. In the end was Alex vs Sky Woodward. Was decided to play a race to 7 as both had matches in the morning, Sky won the lag and opened up with a 3-pack. Alex fought back and after winning a few racks it was now hill hill.
