The Hang-Over Bash at Petrina's

Thirty-eight pool players showed up on New Year’s Day to prove that alcohol poisoning and pool do mix.  With a strong field present the outcome was uncertain with too many favourites. The format was a modified consolation with elimination after the first round for any subsequent loss.  The races were two less than handicaps to allow “quicker play”.  That was not going to happen. After twelve hours of play the final four players decided on a mutually equitable division of prize money.

There were two blind raffles for entry into t he Super Bowl Event on Feb 7th. They were won by Bonnie Reynolds (4) and Rick Garant (8). Barry’s Irish fudge made a quick appearance (7lbs of it). This was a four times Petrina’s Points event which resulted in some massive movement on the Leadership Board with over $2700 in the pot for the season end finals.
