Snooker Back on Television in Canada

Apr 25, 2015

Another milestone for snooker has arrived in Canada and is sure to create more momentum for the future state of the game.
The 2015 Richler Cup will be produced for television at Humber College, and will include interviews, matches, and of course, the $1000 clear the colors contest, which will even be available to spectators coming to watch (yes, you can bring your own cue, if you like).
Special arrangements are currently in the works to co-ordinate proper lighting, sound, and scheduling for Canada’s largest snooker tournament. This completes the trifecta of coverage which will also include live streaming on the internet, as well as film production for a documentary movie about snooker in Canada.
“This makes the occasion that much more special and we look forward to having snooker grow for many years to come” said Patrick Guigui, President & Founder of Snooker Canada.
“I have been saying for years now that given the opportunity to showcase our sport to the masses, we can mirror what is going on all over the world and show why snooker is one of the most watched sports out there globally.
