Snooker a Hit at Toronto Golf Show

The largest golf show in the country took place this past weekend at the International Center in Mississauga.
Toronto Golf Show Introduces Snooker to 18,000 Golfers
This show has been going on for over 25 years but this time, there was a new first, a 6 x 12 snooker table was parked in the middle of the show for 18,000 golfers to see.
The reactions were quite interesting, to say the least. There were tons of golfers that recognized the game, because they used to play it in college. There were teenagers staring at the table with a look like they have never seen such a thing, the look was quite obvious.
Most importantly, cues were being handed to these people constantly for them to try the game for themselves. They have all played pool, so it was not that foreign to them. Just the size of the table and pockets was something they were not used to. The concept was the same as their sport of golf though, put the ball in the whole, just like putting.
There are not too many ways to get a “bang for your buck” that are more effective in advertising than to have a live table with real people trying the game.
The 3 days were quite fascinating, and a big thank you goes out to all the volunteers that came out to help promote our sport.
Next stop , Montreal.
