Mario Wins First 404 Event of the Season

Shooters Billiards in Toronto hosted the opening event of the 404 9-Ball Tour on October 1st. Some new rules were in effect for the 5th season of this tour:
- $1,000 added
- Registration closes at 11:00 AM "Strictly Enforced"
- Maximum 64 players
- Game handicap - Race to your number
- Alternate break
- Rack your own
- 15% of purse will be saved for the Finals
Mighty Mario Morra continued his winning streak in this room without losing a match. Mario was also undefeated here in the finale of the tour last season. On his way to the finals Mario had wins over Jesse Piercey, Rafiq, Erik Hjorleifson, Raphael Balverde, Peter Hetherington and Dan Lewis. On the west side of the bracket it was Jeff Pollock working his way though the field after an early loss to Dan Lewis. Mario was in no mood to entertain the fans with a close match as he dominated the finals with a 11-1 score.
