Klagenfurt features another "Crazy Thursday" for the Euro-Tour

Oct 10, 2018

Tomorrow, the Dynamic Billard Klagenfurt Open 2018 will commence. 158 players in the open event and 40 players in the women’s event from 31 countries from all over the World have announced their participation into the 5th tournament of this year’s Euro-Tour series. The tournament will be played at the Woerthersee-Stadion in Klagenfurt, a beautiful sports complex with a lot of facilities for many different sports. 20 Dynamic III tables are set up and awaiting the contestants.
The overall ranking situation before this tournament is a bit delicate since it is the last tournament before the final nominations for this year’s World 9-Ball Championships in Qatar and the Mosconi team nominations are being made. So especially some of the top players will have to face more pressure than usual during the Dynamic Billard Klagenfurt Open. Current #1 ranked player is Eklent Kaci (ALB). His position is quite safe since he only loses 275 points from a 33rd place in Leende last year but leads the rankings with 270 points more than #2. The fight for #2 however is very interesting since it involves the two Austrian teammates Mario He (#2) and Albin Ouschan (#3). He leads Ouschan by 20 points only but loses 230 points from a 49th rank in Leende last year while Ouschan loses 420 points from coming third in the same tournament. The odds all seem to be in favour of Mario He. Around 200 points trailing to He and Ouschan, Wiktor Zielinski (POL) and last year’s Klagenfurt Open winner Ralf Souquet (GER) are also to be counted in for the hot spots. The ranking situation definitely adds some spice to the tournament atmosphere which is always quite loaded with action already anyway.
Once again, Kozoom and the EPBF will feature the „Crazy Thursday“. Just like in Treviso, Sankt Johann and Leende this year, on Thursday October 11th, all matches will be free on www.kozoom.com to watch. All one needs to do is to register with Kozoom and then choose one of the 20 tables of the event. Additionally, one match per round will be featured LIVE on the EPBF Facebook page.
Friday through Sunday, EPBF will show two feature matches LIVE on the EPBF Facebook page. The complete tournament is shown on kozoom.com for premium pass holders.
The event is hosted by the European Governing Body for Pool, the European Pocket Billiard Federation (EPBF) and organised by International Billiard Promotion (IBP).  Play starts Thursday at 09:30 local time, for further information and reference please go to the federation website eurotouronline under the Eurotour tab.
