An Introduction to the World of SnookBall
Nov 6, 2017
The Pool Scene is your one outlet for all thing related to our favourite game but we also like to look at snooker occasionally as well. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards when it comes to the quality of our articles but we also like to have a bit of fun every now and then as well. We recently read about a unique variation of snooker known as SnookBall so we thought we would discuss this concept and whether the game could grow in popularity.
What is SnookBall?
You may have guessed by the name of the sport but SnookBall is actually a combination of both snooker and football. This amusing concept is actually a real game played by lots of people all over the world and it is a bit of crazy combination if we are being totally honest. You actually get to kick the ball into your desired pocket instead of using a snooker cue. The game is played on a giant billiards table that you can walk across.
The wacky game is actually the idea of a couple of French entrepreneurs who are well-known in their field for creating something out of a weird idea. The game of SnookBall is generally a two-player game with two players generally playing at once but the table can actually hold up to 4 players so some may choose to play with this number. There are several variations of the game and the sport is flexible with the rules in most cases.
Should You Play SnookBall?
The equipment for this game can actually be rented for a total price of 500 euros per day so naturally, it isn’t going to be affordable for everyone. The total cost of buying your own equipment to play for yourself we calculated at a whopping $7500 so it isn’t really a viable option for most people. We will certainly continue to keep an eye on SnookBall though to see if it increases in popularity but this certainly isn’t the first time that two sports have been combined.
Other Sports Combinations?
Of course, this is a pretty left-field game and we had great fun reading about it and it got us thinking about other combinations of sports as well. Can you imagine a combination of bingo and football for example? Some other combinations that we have seen include chess and boxing which is simply known as Chessboxing! However, SnookBall is certainly the most interesting one that we have encountered yet. If you want to learn more about SnookBall then you can give it a quick Google search or you can drop us a message and we can give you more info!
