Hohmann & Van Boening Take #1 & #2 Undefeated Seeds at ANDY CLOTH World 14.1

New York City, NY- Thorsten Hohmann of Germany kept his #1 seed into the next round with an undefeated 5-0 record and 500 made balls. The United States' Shane Van Boening improved on his round robin record last year with a 5-0 this time and took the #2 seed.

Hohmann was never threatened in his group with his wins over Jeanette Lee and Jeremy Sossei notably, allowing only 113 balls against him total in 5 matches. Van Boening put up impressive wins over Scotland's Jayson Shaw with a 99 ball run equating to a 100-66 win and also defeated former Bronze finisher Max Eberle 100-5.
USA's Tony Robles went undefeated as well for the first time out of the 9 years he has played the World 14.1 . He took the #3 seed for the USA while England's Darren Appleton took the #4 seed.
Double knockout stage began today with races extending to 150. The top 16 will advance out of the 24 remaining players to tomorrow for races to 200.
