Garant Takes the Scenic Route

On August 25th at BigWigs Billiards in Newmarket. A small field of only 7 players stayed in the shade to compete in the 5th event of the 404-Tour 10-Ball Summer Series. After Rick Garant lost his first round match to Clay Bowen, he proceeded to tear up the b-side. Rick had wins over Borin Chea (7-0), Chris Alimurung (7-3), Jim Martin (7-4) and Chad Bishop (7-0).
The string of wins put Rick back on the a-side to play the finals against the tournament favourite Tol Kuy. With the momentum on Rick's side, he pulled off the win in the finals with a 7-6 score.
