Dwayne Martin top NAPA player

This past Monday was the first week of playoffs for the NAPA Ontario Monday Night 8 Ball Singles at Petrina's in Ajax.

Congratulations to Dwayne Martin for being the top player in the regular session, winning with a record of 8 wins and 3 losses.  He wins cash and an automatic qualification to the NAPA Internationals in 2016.

12 players were in the league.  For playoffs, the players were split into 3 divisions of 4 players.  The top 4 players were in Tier A, middle 4 players in Tier B, and bottom 4 players in Tier C.

In Tier A, Week 1 had Dwayne Martin facing of against Rob MacArthur.  Martin was victorious beating MacArthur on the hill  The other Tier A match had Paul Marche coming out on top against Roland Amyot.  Week 2 will have Dwayne Martin playing Paul Marche for first and second, and, Roland Amyot playing Rob MacArthur for third and fourth.

Tier B had Brandon Jai Paul playing Dan Seens in Round 1, with Jai Paul winning.  The second Tier B match was Jason Steger playing John Botterill, and had Steger beating Botterill.  Week 2 will see Brandon Jai Paul playing Jason Steger for first and second, and, Dan Seens playing John Botterill for third and fourth.

Tier C had week 1 seeing Ron Scriver playing Wilson Bernacchia, with Scriver winning the match.  The second Tier C match had Ben MacArthur playing Errol Clements, with Clements coming out on top.  Week 2 will see Ron Scriver playing Errol Clements for first and second, and, Ben MacArthur playing Wilson Bernacchia for third and fourth.

The next NAPA Ontario Monday Night 8 Balls Singles session at Petrina's in Ajax starts, Monday, September 28th.  Deadline for registering is Monday, September 21st.  Anyone interested in playing should call 905.903.6425.
