Dominican version of the Mosconi Cup

In Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic was held on December 14 the first Copa Luisito Christ the King in the famous club Billiards Bolivar, the event is a Dominican version of the Mosconi Cup, the best players in the Capital vs the best players Cibao region.

The event had a jammed packed audience celebrating by both couples and individuals for a duration of 10 hours.  Luisito Cristo Rey Cup in honor of the greatest Dominican player of the 70s and 80s.
The said cup will be held every year in the month of December and will be a race to 11 points.
Luisito Cristo Rey Cup will be held in the games of 8-Ball, 9-ball and 10-Ball.
The event commenced the Cibao team leading 2-1.  6 hours later, Cibao extended the lead to 8-3. But the team from the capital came from behind to bring the score to 8-7, putting pressure on the Cibao team.  They traded a few matches and the score was then tied at 9 points each.  Team Cibao reached point 10 first.  After 10 hours of pure adrenaline, team Cibao clinched it 11-9 in the last doubles match between Fernando Paulino and Jhon Castillo from team Capital against Pedro Rojas and Ramon Diaz.
The most valuable player was Ramon Diaz from the Cibao team
