Doerner Dominates Newmarket

BigWigs Billiards in Newmarket hosted the 404 9-Ball tour on January 21-22. Dan Doerner went undefeated through a field of 53 players in the $1,000 added event.
On his way to the finals, Dan Doerner had wins over Dave Lettner (10-3), Marc Dumoulin (9-6), Tim Loney (10-3), Wayne Tate (10-4) and Jyri Kari (10-3). Dean McNaughton also had his eyes set on the finals with wins over Cody Ward (9-4), Shane Gummerson (9-4), Dan Lewis (9-4) and Robin Bass (9-8). Doerner would have to get past Dean McNaughton twice to do it; once in the a-side final, and again, after Dean eliminated Jyri Kari (9-2) on the loss-side to get back to the finals.
