'Django' beats Yang in PBB Face Off

Filipino cue artist Francisco “Django” Bustamante clustered four straight racks to beat Taiwanese player Yang Ching-shun, 9-3, to win their match-up inthe Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face Off series late Saturday at the Pagcor Airport Casino in Parañaque City.
The win was worth $5,000 for Bustamante, while Yang settled for $2,500. With Bustamante’s win, Team Philippines is now tied with Team Asia, 3-3, in the PBB Face Off series. “The ball rolled in my favor,” said Bustamante. Bustamante raced to a 5-2 record in the first seven racks. Although Ching-shun took the next rack, Bustamante did not give him a chance to return to the table as he won the next four frames.
The PBB Face Off series resumes on March 31 with a match pitting Chang Yu Long of Chinese-Taipei against Ronato Alcano.
Liu Hai Tao of China will go up against Alex Pagulayan on April 14, before challenging Dennis Orcollo on April 21. Fong Pang Chao of Chinese Taipei will then battle Lee Vann Corteza on April 28.
