Diamond A Tour - Event # 2

The 2 Diamond A Tour event was held on Oct 23 & 24. Due to several other tournaments being held over the same weekend, the participants were few in numbers but big on enthusiasm. Some drove from as far away as Chatham and Vaughan to JJ Felts in Waterloo (formerly known as Dooly’s), and were not disappointed.
The format was round robin on the first day with the top 6 playing off on Sunday. Each player played no less than 50 games of 8-ball for a $25.00 entry fee! The only complaint being, that perhaps that was a little too much pool.
At the conclusion of the round robin, we were left with a 4 way tie for the 6t spot! The 4 then played a mini round robin, with Denis Brazeau coming out on top. The top 6 left standing were Wayne Pheasant, David Lettner, Jesse Henneveld, Denis Brazeau, Marc Allan and Grant Murrison. They were split into 2 groups, with the top 2 scores from each group played off for 1St and 2rn, and the 2’ place finishers played off for 3rd and 4th. In the end, David Lettner defeated Wayne Pheasant 5-3 in the finals to claim victory overall. In the B final, Denis Brazeau defeated Marc Allan to claim 3rd place. Denis is also the happy winner of our McDermott raffle, and received a beautiful McDermott jumpbreak cue.
