Dechaine Kicks Off New Joss Tour Season With Win

Oct 5, 2012

Mike Dechaine bounced back from a late loss to Gareth Steele, only to avenge that loss in the finals and win the first stop on the 2012/2013 Joss NE 9-Ball Tour on September 29th and 30th at TJ's Classic Billiards in Waterville, Me. Mike Dechaine
In this field of 41 players, it was Steele who captured the hot-seat with a 9-5 win over Dechaine. Dechaine didn't stay on the one loss side for long, as he defeated Jeremy Sossei 9-6 to set up the rematch with Steele in the true double elimination final match.  The first set was a close one, but Dechaine captured the set 9-7 to force a second set. That second set was all Dechaine with a lopsided 9-3 scoreline. Dechaine earned $1050 for the win, while Steele settled for $800 in second place prize money.
