Dave Lettner Undefeated on 404 Tour

Fifty-six players participated in the twelfth 404-Tour event of the season on March 17th and 18th at BigWigs Billiards in Newmarket, Ontario. Many new faces came out to fight for the title. There were many upsets on Saturday as several top players did not advance to Sunday. Erik Hjorleifson (11) was knocked to the b-side with a first round loss to Dan Doerner (10). The Shognosh brothers both also suffered first round losses with Harvey (10) losing to Steve Lancaster (5) and Pod (8) lost to Nito Bucais. Issac Ramos had an impressive tournament with wins over Andrew Attard, Ryan Miller, Robin Bass and tournament favourite John Morra.
Twelve players returned for the money rounds on Sunday. The many fans in attendance watched as Borin Chea defeated Mike Patrowicz (5–3) and Dave Lettner came out on top over Mike VanEck (5-3) in the A-side matches. Dave Lettner also secured his spot in the finals winning his next match over Borin Chea (5-3).
On the B-side, Lee Brett (author of The Secret Art of Pool) displayed his skills with wins over Randy Fawcett (7-3), Shane Gummerson (7-1), Mike VanEck (7-3) and Mike Patrowicz (7-2). In the b-side finals, Lee then faced Borin Chea who was coming off an a-side loss to Lettner. With the momentum on Brett's side, he got a chance at the title with a 7-3 win. Lettner was determined to remain undefeated as he won the final match over Brett 5-4. Just another page in the books for Lee Brett and the 404 Tour.
