China's #1 Siming Chen & Efren Reyes Team Up for ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya

Manila, Philippines- Billiards will be uniting China and Philippines for a noble cause tomorrow. ABS-CBN and Dragon Promotions will take a pause during the Yalin Women's World 10-Ball Championship tomorrow at 1:30pm to do a special presentation on ABS-CBN's Studio 23 to raise money for ABS-CBN Foundation's Sagip Kapamilya. China's top pro Siming Chen, last year's World #1 ranked woman's player, has volunteered to take time out from her quest for her first World Championship title to help the recent flood victims. National hero Efren "Bata" Reyes will be attending to participate as well. Reyes hometown of Pampanga was one of hardest hit during the flood.
OB Cues is donating a P20,000 cue for the cause as raffle tickets are being sold for P200 each with the winners getting the cue and the chance to play on a team side by side with Chen and Reyes. And play on TV! ABS-CBN will be filming the special match with all proceeds going to charity.
"It is our duty and privilege to help this great country. Philippines has been a honorable and hospitable host to our event and supportive of our Chinese professional players. The Filipino people are a kind, good people and anything we can do to help we will ", said Eric Ding, President of Yalin Tables the main sponsor of the World Championship. Yalin is China's top international table manufacturer and will be making additional contributions to the charity.
"I love coming to the Philippines to play. The fans are so good to us. I feel terrible such tragedy has happened here. Of course I will take time out to help the charity if my skills can help any at all", said Siming Chen who also won the Philippines Open last year.
Shane Sinnott of OB Cues, Cindy Lee of Dragon Promotions, Marcel Sabio of Championship Cloth, and Peter Musngi of ABS-CBN will be attending the special event as sponsor participants on the teams.
"It's heartwarming to see such great effort and support from foreign players and companies to want to help our people. It's inspiring to see billiards in China and Philippines as a unifying force and just be human beings helping their fellow men", said Musngi, Vice-President of ABS-CBN Sports.
