Cambridge Invitational Pro/Am Snooker Tournament

Hank Campbell is in an enviable position. The co-ordinator for the Cambridge Invitational Pro/Am Snooker Tournament has a waiting list of players waiting to rack ’em at the annual event – which runs this year from Feb. 15 to 23 – a good place to be considering, back in 2009, he was trying to put together a 24-man field at the last minute.
Of course, that year, the tournament was coming off a one-year hiatus as not to conflict with a snooker event at the Galt Legion, where the tournament ironically started in its first couple years before moving to a larger venue at the Grand Valley Golf and Country Club (1910 Roseville Rd.).
With more seating, parking and, now, players, Campbell said he’s been tempted to expand the field.
“We’ve thought about it,” Campbell said.
