Arsenault Conquers 404 9-Ball Tour

On the weekend of February 8-9th, Rod Arsenault claimed the top prize on the 404 9-Ball Tour at BigWigs Billiards in Newmarket, Ontario. 50 players were in attendance, here is how it all went down…
Norberto DeCarlos
All eyes were on Norberto DeCarlos as he had a fabulous tournament defeating Jim Hislop (6-0), Shawn Higgins (6-0), Chris Bateman (6-2), Dan Miosi (6-5), and then Sumon Sarkar (6-3) to meet Mario Morra in the "hotseat" match. Mario, who has won this event multiple times, had wins over Brad Guthrie (11-1), Karl Kasprzak (11-0), the always dangerous Chris Orme (9-5), and Jeremy Isard (11-4). In the hotseat match, Norberto DeCarlos prevailed over Mario Morra with a (6-8) win to have a seat in the finals.

With all the attention on the a-side, Rod Arsenault was busy tearing up the b-side. In the b-side finals, Rod made quick work of Mario Morra with a 7-1 score. Rod's momentum carried through into the finals against Norberto. On this handicapped tour, Rod needed 7 games and Norberto needed 6. Rod came out on top winning the final match (7-3). Thanks to the staff at BigWigs Billiards and tournament director Blain Jorgensen for running another great tournament. Congratulations to all the players who placed in the money!
