Appleton Wins Back to Back US Open Titles

After 9 consecutive wins in the toughest tournament on earth, Darren Appleton took the U.S. Open title for the 2nd time in as many years. The win earned him a cheque (signed) for $30,000. Darren's closest match was against Jason Klatt where he trailed 10-6 at one point only to break and run the last three racks to win 11-10. Appleton also eliminated Alex Pagulayan who ended up finishing 3rd in this event.
