Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour 2016/2017 Season Schedule

Everyone,
I am very proud to announce my Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour’s upcoming 2016-2017 season schedule. This new season will mark our 20th consecutive year in business! I estimate that we have held well over 400 regular season events, as well as around 40 major industry events. This season will be no exception as I have already scheduled a $25,000 added Turning Stone Classic XXVII 9-Ball Open for January 5-8, 2017 and a second Turning Stone event is currently in negotiations for the Summer of 2017. This season will include for the first time ever, a “Joss Junior 9-Ball Championship” tournament on Sept 17 & 18 with 2 divisions, 18 & under and 12 & under. No cash will be awarded but there will be many valuable prizes for the kids. We are still open to any donations for this first time event for the kids of the game. All donated items will go directly to the participants. If interested in making any kind of donation, please contact Mike Zuglan at 518-356-7163.
In addition to the Turning Stone event(s) and the Junior event, There will be 16 regular season billiard parlor events. All events will have from $2,000 to $5,000 added money. All events, with the exception of the $5,000 added Ocean State 9-Ball Championship at Snookers, will consist of a Saturday and Sunday main event and a $500 added second chance event for those non pro level players eliminated from the main event.
Our great line up of generous host rooms this season will include (in no particular order): TJ’s Classic Billiards (Waterville ME), East Ridge Billiards (Rochester NY), Sharp Shooters Billiards & Sports Pub (2 plus Junior event – Amsterdam NY), Salt City Billiards (3 events – Syracuse NY), Raxx Pool Room & Grill (W. Hempstaed NY), Hippo’s House Of Billiards (Utica – Yorkville NY), Snookers Billiards Bar & Grill (3 events – Providence RI), Union Station Billiards (2 events – Portland ME), Trick Shot Billiards & Sports Pub (Clifton Park NY) & King Smiley Billiards (Fort Edward NY). I would like to personally thank each and every one of our host facilities for being a part of the tour, allowing all of us the use of there great rooms and for helping to keep our great sport alive and kicking.
I would also like to thank all of our most generous sponsor this season for their generosity and continued support. This season’s sponsors (see links below) include (in no particular order): Iwan Simonis Cloth, “The Cloth Of Champions”, Aramith, Heidrich Custom Cues, Billiards Press, AZBilliards.com, Poolonthenet.com, World Class Cue Care, Turning Stone Resort Casino & Joss Cues. An extra special thank you to Debbie, Dan & Stephen Janes of Joss Cues for 20 years of donating approximately $500,000 worth of their beautiful custom engraved cues for raffle at all of our events!
Please note that this season, in an effort to speed things up, final registration on Saturdays will be at 11:30 am Sharp. Please pass this important information on so we may try to conclude at a reasonable hour. Our simple billiard parlor dress code will once again be: No T-shirts, tanks, sweats or shorts. Jeans, sneakers and a collared shirt will be just fine. Entry fees (excluding the Ocean State and Turning Stone Events) will once again be $70 for non pro level players and $120 for pro level players. I alone will make the determination. Tour membership will again be $40 seasonal or $15 single event (TS excluded). A $40 seasonal membership would save the player $50 on thier Turning Stone entry fee at least once so to coin a phrase “membership has its privileges”.
The complete schedule has been posted on our site www.joss9balltour.com, AZBilliards.com and many other of the popular sites and mags in the billiard world. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me at 518-356-7163.
As of this writing, we still have our 2015-2016 season finale coming up on August 25-28, 2016. The $25,000 Added Turning Stone Classic XXVI 9-Ball Open promises to be another great world class event. Come and see us and be treated to Free admission, Free posters, $10 Casino Free plays, all in the most comfortable world class arena anywhere.
