The 6th event of the Shooters ‘404’ 9 Ball series was held on the January 31/ February 1, 2015 weekend at Shooters Snooker and Sports Club. Fifty-five players made an appearance to play in this long running tournament series. The $1000 added event continues to attract top talent in the GTA and from across southern Ontario.
When play concluded on Saturday, Ben Chang, Chad Bishop, Greg Plester and Tony Hong emerged undefeated from the ‘A’ side of the draw. On the one loss ‘B’ side, Sumon Sarkar, Marc Dumoulin, Isaac Ramos, Rob Johnson, Dave Lettner, Vince Belanger, Ronald Giron and Steve Menzies endured the rigours of the day to qualify for a Sunday appearance.
In the ‘A’ side final Ben Chang defeated Greg Plester sending Plester to the ‘B’ side and Chang to the hot seat. On the ‘B’ side, Isaac Ramos was waiting for Plester but the determined Plester defeated Ramos in the ‘B’ final setting up a rematch with Chang for the tournament title. In the tournament final Ben Chang again defeated Greg Plester claiming yet another title in this 2014/15 season.
Congratulations to Ben Chang on his tournament win. Ben continues his run as the player to beat this season with consistently strong performances in almost every tournament.
The next ‘404’ event will take place on February 28/ March 1st, 2015 at Shooters.
