 TULSA, OK – Magoo’s Billiard Club hosted several women pro pool players on June 5 to play challenge matches against local hot shot shots and raise money for the Billiard Education Foundation, which conducts the annual National Junior 9-Ball Championships and sends winners to the world championships.At just $5 a game, players could take on one of the pros playing in this year’s U.S. Open, plus have a chance at a winning cue in a raffle. Pool & Billiard Magazine donated subscriptions to any player who could beat a pro in a game, and twelve lucky locals won that and bragging rights. In all, $440 was raised for BEF.The U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships “main event” at the River Spirit Event Center kicks off TONIGHT with a charity pro-am at 7 pm, which is open to the general public.
