20 eager players turned out this weekend, including 4 juniors and 2 women. The format is a modified round robin where the contestants are guaranteed to play 25 games minimum. Upon the completion of the round robin, 8 players with the best win-loss record move on to the play off rounds, which are race to 3, single elimination.Normally we would host separate divisions for the women and juniors however the numbers this weekend did not allow us to do so, and all were placed in one group. Having said that, Stuart MacTaggart one of out upcoming juniors made the cut along with Kayla Jones, one of Ontario’s top female amateurs.
The final match came down to Kayla Jones vs. Mike Dymus. The play went back and forth with Kayla coming through in the end as the winner of Stroker’s first event.
Our next event is next weekend, December 17th at Big Wig’s in Newmarket, Ontario. Hope to see you all there!
There is also a 10-Ball break contest for the participants and Stroker’s pot is at $225.
